Program summary: 

Angkor 1 Day: Angkor Thom - Angkor Vat & other temple in Small tour
After Breakfast in hotel, our English Speaking Tour and driver will come to pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at 8 am. After pick up we will accompany you to buy the Angkor entrance fee witch located only 10 minutes driver from center of Siem Reap. After purchasing the Angkor pass, the starting point of visit will be the south gate of Angkor Thom with two rows of its huge statues of demons and gods depicting the churning of the ocean of milk arranged on both sides of stone bridge.  

Then you will continue to visit Bayon Temple located only few minutes-drive in the center city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire under the reign of King Jayavarman VII surrounded by the wall of 8 meters high and 3 kilometers long of each corner, compose 5 large gate decorated with elephant of three heads and big faces of Buddha in both sides. You will visit the temple-mountain of Bayon, built in late 12 and early 13 century, it composed multi tours included central towers that cover over 200 huge faces of Lokesvara. Continue to discover the Terrace of the Elephants, which used to be a base for the king’s grand audience hall; Bapoun with a long sculpture of sleeping Buddha on the west side, and then talk across the small forest to visit small temple of Phimeanakas, surrounded by large rampart, admire the lady and men swimming pool on the North side of this temple, ancient Royal Palace and finish at the end by the Terrace of the Leper King.

Continue the visit to Ta Prohm Temple, the most attracting pictures temple, where the tree roots have taken over the roof and the wall of this temple. Ta Prohm is one of the most atmospheric temples of Angkor. A famous Hollywood film, named Tom Rider was made in Ta Prohm temple with an American actress, Angelina Jolie.

In the afternoon break for lunch at local restaurant, 
After the meal and a moment of rest, continuous to the most famous, magnificent and the world’s largest religious monument and the most impressive temple of Angkor site, Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is the largest sacred building in the world dedicated to god Vishnu, this large temple-mountain was built by King Suryavarman II at the beginning of the twelfth century took 37 years and symbolizes the apogee of the Khmer civilization. 

Today, the 5 towers of Angkor Wat are featured on Cambodia’s national flag as the temple symbolizes the soul of Cambodia.

The climb to the top level of Angkor Wat is very steep but an absolute must (Dress with a shirt that covers your shoulders and pants/skirt to knee level).
